CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY

"LIQUIDATION" BANKRUPTCY

BASIC COURT PROCEEDINGS

-You will need to have two (2) forms of identification with you for your court hearing.
1.You need to have a photo identification such as a driver’s license.

2.Proof of Social Security number such as social security cards, W-2 forms or paycheck stubs as long as it has your FULL social security number on it.

Your court notice is not acceptable as identification. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THE TWO FORMS AT YOUR HEARING YOU WILL HAVE TO APPEAR FOR A SECOND TIME.

-Please be seated in the courtroom a few minutes before your court hearing.

- It is imperative that you complete your final credit counseling within 45 days of your first scheduled court hearing. If you do not complete the exit credit counseling then your bankruptcy case will not be discharged. This means that you will be responsible for all the debts listed on your bankruptcy.
